Nimats: Embracing Japanese Culture and Delights at Semarang State University

        On May 27th, there is an event Nihongo Matsuri or Nimats with a Japanese theme that encompasses different elements, including the dress code and the available food options.

        Nimats is held at the B1 building of Semarang State University by the Japanese Language Education Department of Semarang State University. Nimats are held every year, attracting Japanese enthusiasts and those who are not familiar with Japanese culture. Visitors participate by purchasing a ticket and exchanging it at the designated booth, allowing them to enter and fully immerse themselves in various aspects of Japanese culture. Before gaining access to the diverse range of Japanese cultural experiences, attendees' belongings are inspected.

 

    The event exudes a constant lively and bustling atmosphere, providing a plethora of attractions including Japanese dance performances, displays of traditional clothing, authentic Japanese cuisine, and the opportunity to capture photos with cosplayers.
